What's behind Windows 11 black screen?Ī black screen in Windows 11 can sometimes resolve itself before you ever figure out the cause.

Black screen errors can occur for many reasons, such as Windows updates, faulty applications, outdated drivers or malware infections.Īs a Windows administrator, you'll have to fix the problem by trying different strategies, one step at a time. It's not because the fixes themselves are particularly complicated but because of the time it can take to try different troubleshooting methods. We hope that it is used across every field from classrooms to space flights and, more importantly, by everyone.Black screen issues in Windows 11 can be difficult to resolve. In five years, we hope that Virtual Display Manager is the primary way people work on their PCs. This software is the turning point to democratizing augment reality technology and will become the preferred workspace setup for many people.

The ability to create multiple virtual displays in space and bring them anywhere you go will change the way people work and collaborate forever. We hope that Virtual Display Manager is the go-to productivity tool for everyone. Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years? Our designs were often limited by what we could do within this framework and architecture. One of the biggest challenges we faced was working within the Windows ecosystem. This showcase was the moment we realized we were onto something great and leveraged the excitement to build out the final solution against an incredibly aggressive timeline. It was the first time we received external feedback, and it was highly positive. What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha! moment, was there a low point?ĭuring this project, one of our personal achievements was building the initial prototype and sharing it with the world during an international conference. Finally, we found it extremely difficult to find test participants that were willing to do in-person testing. Other challenges we faced included conducting in-person research due to Covid safety restrictions and the lack of headset equipment available during testing. There are limited AR prototyping tools available, so often, what we designed in 2D was very different in 3D space, especially since it was difficult to simulate the transparency of the interface. One of the biggest challenges in designing Virtual Display Manager was the transition from 2D mockups to 3D prototypes.

What was the particular challenge in the project from a UX point of view?
